Why can't I log in?
First, please make sure you have the appropriate system requirements and settings:
If you have the correct system and settings, perhaps you did not wait long enough for the Hush encryption engine to load.
The Login process involves a "behind the scenes" download of the Hush encryption engine (a large Java applet). This process could take several minutes before you will see the "Enter your passphrase" field. If you are running 56k modem or slower, don't conclude that the login process is not working until at least 3 minutes have passed.
After clicking "Login," it is normal to see a blank blue screen. After several minutes you will see a large grey square, and shortly after that, you will be prompted for your passphrase. After you log in once, logging in again (during the same sitting) is much quicker because the encryption engine is resident on your computer.
If you think you did not wait long enough, return to the Login page. Then type in your login ID and click the Login button. This time, wait at least 3 minutes.
