Are you feeling suicidal?

It takes a lot of courage to admit to yourself that you're getting so desperate that you could take your own life. It takes even more courage to admit it to another human being. I wish I could support you with online counselling, but it just isn't a suitable approach. Your need is more immediate. Even if you've felt this way for some time, I urge you to take care of your needs right now.

Disclaimer

This agency cannot be held responsible for helping you manage a crisis using online resources. Because of the delays associated with the use of e-mail, we cannot act as a crisis centre online. If you experience an emotional crisis (intense feelings of distress), emergency or life threatening situation, or any other crisis during the course of your treatment, merely sending a secure e-mail message to your counsellor is not appropriate. This agency's counsellors are expected to check for incoming PrivacEmail messages only once per day (Monday through Friday, excluding local statutory holidays).

Rather than turning to our online counsellors to help you manage intense feelings of distress, emergencies or life threatening situations, or an emotional crisis, we suggest you take the actions described on this Managing a Crisis web page.

If a crisis occurs, you must manage the crisis by using resources other than those offered by this agency online.
